Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Expansion multipotenter Stammzellen ex vivo. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein zweistufiges Verfahren zur Expansion und Differenzierung von multipotenten Stammzellen ex vivo, bei dem die Stammzellen auf der ersten Stufe, d.h. während der Expansionsphase, gentransfiziert werden können. In der Phase erfolgt die Differenzierung der multipotenten Stammzellen wahlweise in Zellen der hämatopoetischen, endothelialen oder mesenchymalen Zellreihe. Auf diese Weise gewonnene Stamm- und Progenitorzellen sowie reife Zellen der hämatopoetischen, endothelialen und mesenchymalen Zellreihe lassen sich unter anderem für die Prophylaxe, Diagnostik und Therapie humaner Erkrankungen sowie zum Tissue Engineering einsetzen.
