Indeed, in the case where the bolt cannot come out completely because it is not exactly opposite the striker, there is nothing to prevent the rod 5 passing from the position occupied in FIG. 2 to that shown in FIG. 1, while the bolt and the member 7 remain in the position shown in Figure 4 because the difference between the two positions of the rod is absorbed by the spring 11 which extends (fig.4). As the stroke of the rod 5 is not modified, this incident is "invisible" for the electronic device for controlling the excitation of the electromagnet and the untimely flapping of the lock is thus avoided.

- the electric lock is equipped with a sliding plate 12, customary on purely mechanical locks, guided on the bottom of the housing 1 and capable of being moved, against a return spring 13 by the rotation of a key or swivel handle.
- the key and, or, the handle can pivot along the axis shown diagrammatically at 14 by driving a finger 15 engaged with a stop 16 of the plate 12.
- the plate 12 has a second stop 17 at taken with the arm 8.
- the finger 15 is made to rotate clockwise, which has the effect of displacing the plate 12, by compressing its spring 13, making the member 7 pivot in the opposite direction and causing the recoil of the bolt.
- the force transmitted to the member 7, which pivots, causes the extension of the spring 11. At no time did this maneuver modify the electrical condition of the lock and no electrical consumption was induced both at the opening and at the closing.
