Abstract

The invention relates to a device for the generation of gas (10), in particular of hydrogen-rich synthesis gas from biogenic or other carbonaceous material (9), whereby the material (9) is allothermically vaporised in a reactor (1) with the formation of a fluidised bed (2) and said fluidised bed (2) is heated. According to the invention, an economical and effective generation of gas may be achieved, whereby said device is characterised in that, in the region of the fluidised bed (2), heating tubes (3) at least partly extend through the fluidised bed (2). The invention further relates to a method for the generation of gas (10), in particular of hydrogen-rich synthesis gas from biogenic or other carbonaceous material (9), whereby the material (9) is allothermically vaporised in a reactor (1) with the formation of a fluidised bed (2) and said fluidised bed (2) is heated, by using heating tubes (3) at least partly extending through the fluidised bed (2).
