Abstract

Optisch aktiver Katalysator enthaltend einen Salenliganden der Formal (II) und Vanadium in der Oxidationsstufe (IV), Formel (II), worin die Reste R, R' und R' des Salen-Liganden unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, verzweigte oder unverzweigte C1-C10 Alkylreste, oder eine Gruppe O(C1-C4-Alkyl), oder F, Cl, Br oder l, eine gegebenenfalls substituierte, Arylgruppe, oder -(CH2)m-, wobei m eine ganze Zahl im Bereich von 1 bis 8 ist, bedeuten und der Katalysator 1,4 bis 10 Äquivalente Salenligand bezogen auf ein Äquivalent Vanadium-(IV) enthält. Der Katalysator läßt sich durch Umsetzung eines Vanadyl-(IV)-Salzes mit 1,4 bis 10 Äquivalenten des Salenliganden erhalten und zur Herstellung von optisch aktiven Cyanhydrinen verwenden.
