Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zur (insbesondere kontinuierlichen) Oxidation von Russpartikeln aus Abgasen von Dieselmotoren, bestehend aus einem offenporigen Körper als Partikelfilter, auf dessen Oberfläche ein Oxidationskatalysator feindispers verteilt ist. Die Vorrichtung ist zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass der Katalysator schon ab einer Abgastemperatur von 150°C eine Oxidation von filtergebundenen Russpartikeln mit dem Restsauerstoff des Abgases bewirkt und somit eine kontinuierliche Freihaltung des Filterkörpers bei fast allen Betriebszuständen des Motors ermöglicht.
