Abstract

La présente invention concerne un coussin (1) en caoutchouc. Ce coussin comprend une base (2) sensiblement cylindrique qui épouse la forme du tour de jante, une couronne sensiblement cylindrique (3) qui vient en contact avec l'intérieur du sommet du pneu en cas de chute de pression de gonflage, mais laisse un intervalle libre jusqu'au sommet à pression de gonflage nominale, et un corps annulaire (4) reliant la base (2) à la couronne (3). L'article de caoutchouc est fait d'une gomme, de préférence un mélange de gomme naturelle et de polybutadiène, un sel de métal d'un acide carboxylique, de préférence le diméthacrylate de zinc, une quantité suffisance de noir de carbone ou de silice, ou les deux, et un peroxyde pour la vulcanisation de ce coussin. Le coussin (1) de la présente invention permet une réduction de masse, une moindre hystérésis, une stabilité thermique renforcée, ainsi qu'une stabilité thermo-oxydative renforcée, d'où une durée de vie prolongée.
