Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Gären organischer Substanzen, insbesondere Gär- oder Faulbehälter (1), mit einem die organischen Substanzen aufnehmenden Gärraum (2), der eine im wesentlichen vertikal ausgerichtete Längsachse (25) aufweist und in dem eine motorisch antreibbare Rühreinrichtung (3) angeordnet ist, mittels der die organischen Substanzen durchmischbar sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Rühreinrichtung (3) um eine im wesentlichen vertikal ausgerichtete Rührachse (4) drehbare Rührmittel (3a, 3b, 3c) aufweist, durch deren Drehbewegung unmittelbar das Durchmischen der organischen Substanzen erfolgt, dass die Rührmittel (3a, 3b) von der im wesentlichen vertikal ausgerichteten Rührachse (4) radial beabstandet sind, und dass die Antriebskraft der Rühreinrichtung (3) von der Rührachse (4) radial beabstandet an der Rühreinrichtung (3) angreift, sowie ein Verfahren zum Betreiben einer solchen Vorrichtung.
