Abstract

System for the erection of a house structure, where upper and lower sills (2, 3) as well as studs (2), struts, girders, beams etc all being prepared at a factory for connection with each other by dowe tail like joints, all being positioned exactly according to the dimensions from a drawing of the house, thereafter to be transported to the construction site and to be erected by fitting the tongue (6) of one part of a joint into a corresponding groove (5) in the other part of the joint and securing the joint after positioning the individual parts.

Description

Erection system for the structure of a house
The present invention is related to an erection system for the structure of a house.
Traditional erection of the structure of a house included cutting of a number of studs, placing them and securing them to a sill to make for example a wall section, and cutting and securing floor joists to end joist to make a flooring section. Placement of different parts is made by measurements based on measures from a drawing and the experience has shown that the dimensions in walls, floors and other parts of a house, have relatively large tolerances which then has to be adjusted by manual measures in a number of connections. The result is that internal measurements in internal rooms do not necesserily correspond with the measures stated in the drawing and for which different internal parts is of importance, such as outside deliveries, for example cupboards, cabinets, refrigerators etc.
To a certain extent such problems have been avoided by manufacturing elements in a factory for transportation to the construction site. One problem with this method is that such elements are rather voluminous thereby making the transportation relatively expensive. The erection system according to the present invention avoids the above disadvantages with existing systems, as described by the features stated in the patent claims.
The drawing discloses in figure 1 a typical stud with one prepared end, figure 2 discloses a sill with a prepared receipt for the stud in figure 1, figure 3 discloses schematically a wall structure, figure 4 discloses schematically a floor structure, figure 5 discloses schematically part of a roof truss connection and figure 6 discloses schematically a bottom sill connection.
According to the present invention most of the wooden parts to be used in the house structure are cut according to correct measures from the drawing and prepared for connection with other parts also according to measures from the drawing. This preparation is made at the factory thereby ensuring small tolerances resulting in easy and quickly erection of the prepared parts. Even if the structure comprises a number of single parts the total time consumption for erecting a house structure is extremely small due to the fact that the different parts are prepared correctly at the factory as to connections and positions in connections.
Studs 1 as well as bottom sills 2 and upper sills 3 will have prepared dovetail connections 4 on measures according to the drawing.
The transportation of the different parts will need a relatively small volume and the erection as such includes fitting the marked parts correctly into the grooves in the sill and securing them there with nails or screws. The accuracy is achieved with the preparation of the dovetail connections 4 in the factory. The erection work as such has to take steps to ensure the accuracy of the angles which as such means right angles.
The shape of the dovetail connection 4 may be as disclosed in figures 1 and 2, or any other suitable shape such as a T-shape, cylindric shape or other. The length of the groove 5 respectively the tongue 6 in the dovetail connections 4 are adjusted to each other in such a way that the stud 1 is aligned on both sides to the sill 2.
Two bottom sills may be secured to each other as disclosed in figure 6 by a cone wedge clamping the two sills 2 together in the correct position by pressing the cone through the holed in the two sills 2.
As figure 5 discloses, the same principle is used also for the connection between the rafters 8 and the beam 7 of the roof.
Each part being preferably marked to define the position of the same in the total house structure. Substabtially all individual parts being prepared and marked in such a way that the dimensions of the erected house structure substantially correspond to the measures given in the drawing.
Of great importance when erecting a house structure is to take care that the sills 2 and other horizontal parts are positioned correctly horizontally respectively that studs 1 and other vertical parts are porsitioned correctly vertically. To ensure this an angle may be provided, comprising for example one leg of 1 meter and one leg of 2 meters, the connecting strut as well as the legs being made of a rigid material as be also the connections. Preferably the vertical as well as the horizontal leg each being provided with a carpenter's level.
