Abstract

L'invention concerne un système automatique efficace pour le stockage dans des cellules et la récupération en libre-service d'articles depuis ces cellules. Il peut s'agir de colis, et le système automatique s'intègre efficacement à un processus de distribution, moyennant quoi les colis sont transportés en vrac vers un point de collecte centralisé, pour la récupération par les destinataires. On peut ainsi recevoir et stocker les colis livrés en vrac à mesure qu'ils sont chargés de façon aléatoire dans le système, ce qui réduit le temps et les efforts demandés aux unités de transport pour la distribution. Le système peut offrir un degré d'efficacité élevé quant à l'utilisation de l'espace, ce qui réduit d'autant les coûts de stockage, et donc les coûts de distribution, car on utilise les moyens suivants: bacs mobiles et fixes permettant aux destinataires de récupérer des colis stockés à une hauteur qui dépasse leur propre taille, et bacs de configuration variable se prêtant mieux au stockage d'articles ou de colis dont les dimensions demandent un ajustement. Par ailleurs, le système réduit le coût de l'activité de distribution grâce à une fonction de notification automatique aux destinataires, suite au chargement des colis livrés en vrac dans les cellules du système, moyennant quoi les destinataires peuvent récupérer leurs articles ou colis en libre-service. Le système permet cette récupération suite à une authentification des destinataires, qui reçoivent alors une indication sur l'emplacement de la cellule correspondante et un code d'accès temporaire à ladite cellule.
