Abstract

L'invention concerne un matériau résistant à l'usure et à l'abrasion comprenant une masse de particules de carbure, une masse de particules de nitrure de bore cubique, et un métal ou un alliage de liaison, liés en une forme cohérente frittée. Le contenu en particules de nitrure de bore cubique du matériau est compris entre 10 et 18 % en poids, la taille particulaire du nitrure de bore cubique est inférieure à 20 microns, et le matériau est pratiquement exempt de nitrure de bore hexagonal. Le matériau abrasif est particulièrement utile pour des éléments ou pour des pièces rapportées servant à l'abrasion du bois et à l'abrasion d'autres matières ligneuses.
