Description

The invention relates to a device for cleaning traffic areas contaminated by environmentally harmful media, such as lubricants, fuels or the like, in which a hood that can be extracted with a high volume flow can be moved close above the traffic area to be cleaned and in the hood one or more rotating around a vertical axis, spray nozzles facing the traffic area are arranged.
Such a device is known from EP 0 318 074 A1. It is designed as a mobile unit and is used as a trailer for a driving unit. In the case of such devices, a cleaning liquid which has been mixed with water and a solvent and / or emulsifier is used and has the ability to dissolve or emulsify the environmentally harmful media mentioned. The cleaning solution is brought under high pressure into the hood, which is guided close to the floor to be cleaned, and sprayed by rotating spray nozzles facing the traffic area. The resulting rebounding spray mist wetted with the contaminants taken up is to be suctioned off through a tangential opening in the essentially round hood. It has been shown in practice that such devices, however, achieve insufficient cleaning results and require a high level of fluid consumption. The cleaning results are unsatisfactory, especially when cleaning very flat surfaces, since the required high volume flow is interrupted. These devices suck themselves on the surface, so to speak. Sufficiently large amounts of air cannot therefore be drawn in, which only make the required high volume flow and thus the high flow velocities possible.
Diese Vorrichtung arbeitet nicht mit Reinigungsflüssigkeiten und Spritzdüsen, sie ist daher nur dazu geeignet, oberflächige Abfallstoffe aufzunehmen.EP 0 162 769 A1 discloses a device to be used in a stationary manner with an extractable hood, in the hood wall of which a vent hole is provided in order to avoid excessive vacuum in the hood. This device does not work with cleaning fluids and spray nozzles, it is therefore only suitable for picking up surface waste.
The object of the invention is to propose a device of the type mentioned, the efficiency and increased consumption of cleaning fluid is reduced compared to the devices known from the prior art.
The arrangement according to the invention of ventilation elements in the hood wall or the hood roof, which automatically open when the pressures are too high, increases with increasing vacuum, so that if the system is too tight, the Hood on the surface to be cleaned is additionally sucked in air through these ventilation elements in order to maintain the required high volume flow. This ensures that the spray mist wetted with contaminants can be removed immediately and safely from the hood. If the volume flows are too low, there is a risk that droplets of this spray will fall back onto the surfaces to be cleaned and thus have a negative effect on the cleaning effect. The ventilation elements, preferably ventilation valves, can be provided both in the side walls and their downward extension in the form of a sealing apron and in the roof area of the hood
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the ventilation valves open from a vacuum of the hood that is greater than 100 mbar. According to the selected spring characteristic of the opening spring of the ventilation valve, these valves open with increasing vacuum.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, it is proposed to provide the suction of the hood in the area of its rear lower edge in the direction of travel. The suction is expediently located opposite the ventilation valve (s).
Es zeigen:The ventilation valve can also be provided on the skirt-like seal. The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an illustrated exemplary embodiment. Show it:
In a basic representation, a section through a mobile device with open ventilation valves on a flat surface to be cleaned,
A corresponding representation of a device with closed ventilation valves on an uneven surface and
Fig. 3: Eine Unteransicht der Vorrichtung im Zustand entsprechend Fig. 2.3: A bottom view of the device in the state corresponding to FIG. 2.
The hood 1, which is preferably to be moved in the direction of travel A, is guided tightly over a surface 6 or 6 'to be cleaned. For sufficient sealing, this hood 1 has an elastic seal 3 all around on the underside of its side walls 12. The spray nozzles 7, the rotation arms of which are designated by the number 71, are used to spray cleaning liquid against the surfaces 6 or 6 ′ to be cleaned under high pressure. The rebounding spray is extracted via the channel-like opening 14 at the rear edge of the hood 1. The suction channel is designated by the number 2. The extraction takes place with a high volume flow. Due to the negative pressure in the hood, air is sucked in between the surfaces 6 and 6 'and the seals 3. In order not to create a too high negative pressure in the hood 1, which could lead to the hood 1 being sucked tightly onto the subsurface, resiliently actuated ventilation plugs 4 are provided in the hood wall 12, which counteract the pressure of the closing spring from predetermined vacuum conditions in the hood 5 open. From a vacuum in the hood 1 greater than 100 mbar, these ventilation valves 4 should preferably open increasingly with increasing pressure. Due to the coordination with the spring characteristics, a gradual opening of the ventilation valve 4 is achieved, so that an equalization of the volume flow through the hood is ensured for suction.
Depending on the hood size, driving speed and possible suction capacities, these opening pressures must be specified. The areas of rotation of the spray nozzles 7 are shielded laterally by aprons 8 in order to ensure that the spray mist is directed in the shortest possible way to the suction channel 2 or the inlet opening 14. The spray nozzles 7 are supplied via the rotating water supply 72 in the hood roof 11. Associated drive units are not shown.
