Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'impression à jet d'encre. L'impression est réalisée par transfert de gouttelettes d'encre à partir d'une forme vers un support, en dirigeant un rayon laser sur une forme couverte d'une couche d'encre, sous un certain angle et vers sa surface. Ce rayon laser provoque un effet luminohydraulique à la frontière entre l'encre et la surface de la forme, effet accompagné du déclenchement d'une puissante impulsion acoustique, dirigée suivant la trajectoire d'un rayon réfléchi par la forme et qui transporte sur le support une goutte d'encre de la couche d'encre enduisant la surface de la forme. Le procédé permet de garantir une haute capacité de résolution d'impression grâce à la formation de gouttelettes d'un diamètre allant de 10 à 15 νm sur un suport plat et ne se pliant pas, la formation des gouttelettes ne nécessitant qu'une faible énergie. Le procédé d'impression de l'invention comprend une forme d'imprimerie comportant une surface réfléchissant le rayon laser ayant la forme d'un ruban sans fin ou d'un cylindre. On obtient un ensemble de points formant un texte ou une image sur le support, selon un programme donné, par un déplacement concomitant du support, de la forme et du rayon laser scannant.
