Abstract
Cette invention concerne un procédé d'impression qui consiste à envoyer des impulsions de rayonnement laser vers des points donnés à la surface d'une matrice recouverte d'une couche d'encre, lesdites impulsions provenant de plusieurs éléments rayonnants qui sont excités par le faisceau électronique d'un laser à semi-conducteur. On assiste ainsi à une éjection de gouttelettes d'encre depuis ces points vers le support grâce à l'effet photohydraulique. Le dispositif d'impression comprend des guides de lumière de type fibres optiques qui acheminent les impulsions du rayonnement laser depuis les sources vers les points se trouvant à la surface de la matrice, points depuis lesquels les gouttelettes d'encre sont transférées sur le support.
