Abstract

L'invention concerne des compositions d'huile lubrifiante renfermant une fraction majeure d'huile à viscosité lubrifiante et, en quantité suffisante pour réduire la consommation d'huile dans un moteur à combustion interne, un monoester de glycérol et un acide carboxylique renfermant entre 12 et 20 atomes de carbone et présentant entre 0 et 3 liaisons doubles, ou bien un mélange de monoester et de diester de glycérol et un acide carboxylique renfermant entre 12 et 20 atomes de carbone et présentant entre 0 et 3 liaisons doubles, sachant que le monoester représente au moins 75 % du mélange, en moles. Lesdites compositions sont utiles pour améliorer les économies de carburant dans les moteurs à combustion interne.
