  • One embodiment of the present invention comprises a process for producing polypropylene from olefins produced in a two stage process for selectively producing C 2 to C olefins from a heavy hydrocarbon feed, the process comprising the steps of (a) contacting a heavy hydrocarbon feed with a large-pore zeolitic catalytic cracking catalyst having an average pore diameter greater than about 0.7 nm in a first reaction stage comprising a fluid catalytic cracking unit to convert the heavy hydrocarbon feed to lower boiling reaction products; (b) fractionating said lower boiling reaction products into at least a naphtha boiling range fraction comprising less than about 40 wt.%_paraffins and between about 15 and about 70 wt.% olefins; (c) contacting the naphtha boiling range fraction with a second catalyst comprising between about 10 and about 50 wt.% of a crystalline zeolite having an average pore diameter less than about 0.7 nm in a second reaction stage comprising a process unit comprising

Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de polymères à partir d'oléfines produites sélectivement par un procédé à deux niveaux permettant la production sélective d'oléfines C2 à C4 à partir de gasoil ou de résidu. Le gasoil ou le résidu est mis à réagir dans un premier niveau comprenant une unité de craquage catalytique fluide dans laquelle il est converti en la présence d'un catalyseur zéolitique classique à gros pores en produits de réaction, notamment un flux de naphta à gamme d'ébullition. Le flux de naphta à gamme d'ébullition est introduit dans un second niveau comprenant une unité de traitement contenant une zone de réaction, une zone d'extraction, une zone de régénération de catalyseur ainsi qu'une zone de fractionnement. La charge de naphta est mise en contact dans la zone de réaction avec un catalyseur contenant environ 10 à 50 % en poids d'une zéolite cristalline ayant un diamètre de pore moyen inférieur à environ 0,7 manomètre, dans des conditions de réaction contenant des températures allant d'environ 500 à 650 °C et une pression partielle d'hydrocarbure allant d'environ 10 à 40 psia. Les produits de vapeur sont collectés dans la partie haute et les particules du catalyseur sont passées à travers la zone d'extraction sur le chemin de la zone de régénération du catalyseur.
