  • the central controller checks the switches 52 and lock switch 58 to ensure that the cover 12 is firmly in place on the body portion 10. All sensors except the level sensor 54 and the handle switch 56 are enabled. All security devices are enabled. Prior to removal of the transit key, the operator moves the handle 16 to the transit position shown in phantom lines in Figs. 1 and 2. When the key is removed (COUNT 1), this position is sensed by the central controller and the handle switch 56 enabled. It is now possible for the operator to carry the currency cassette to an armored van for transfer to the bank.

Abstract

Cette invention se rapporte à une caissette pour billets de banque, à utiliser dans un guichet automatique. Cette caissette comprend plusieurs capteurs (52, 54, 56, 58) et plusieurs dispositifs de sécurité (60, 62, 64). Un contrôleur central (50) réagit aux capteurs en vue d'actionner ces dispositifs de sécurité en fonction de la situation de la caissette. La caissette possède une source d'alimentation interne indépendante (80, 82) et elle est par conséquent autonome. La caissette est pourvue d'une poignée (16) pour le transport, ce qui permet de déplacer la caissette d'une position à l'autre. La poignée est mobile entre deux positions, l'une pour le rangement et l'autre pour le transport, et elle ne peut être déplacée entre ces deux positions que par insertion d'une clé à carte électronique dans une lecteur situé dans la caissette. Le nombre de fois que la carte est lue, pour permettre le mouvement de la poignée, est vérifié et ce nombre est directement mis en relation avec la situation de la caissette, dès lors que, dans le cours normal des événements, la poignée ne doit changer de position que lorsque certains événements se produisent, c'est-à-dire lorsqu'elle quitte une chambre forte, lorsqu'elle est placée dans un fourgon pour le transport à la banque, lorsqu'elle est retirée du fourgon et lorsqu'elle est placée dans le guichet automatique. En fonction de ce nombre compté, le contrôleur sélectionne les capteurs applicables à cette situation, en vue d'actionner des dispositifs de sécurité sélectionnés applicables à cette situation.
