Abstract

L'invention concerne des composés s'auto-assemblant capables de former des gels biréfringents lors de leur addition à un support organique en quantité allant de 0,05 % à environ 2 % en poids. Un gel biréfringent contenant un composé s'auto-assemblant et un monomère organique peut être polymérisé afin d'obtenir un polymère optiquement biréfringent. Ce polymère peut être fondu afin d'obtenir un produit fondu biréfringent pouvant servir ensuite comme article manufacturé, notamment une fibre optique.
