Abstract
The invention relates to a device for use in the prenatal preparation of and easing of labor in pregnant women. Said device has a longitudinal dilatory body (1) which can be expanded along the entire length thereof and can be positioned in the region of the exitus of the birth canal so that it is partially inside and partially outside the vagina. The inventive device is provided with an elongated widening (4) at the end of the expandable body (1) which is perpendicular to the said body and which is used to define the innermost position of the dilatory body (1) when it is placed against the outer labia.
