Description
FOLDING HAT - FAN
The present invention relates to a protection hat - fan against sunrays or rain which, by a diametrically folding, forms a fan used for ventilation when exceeding high temperatures and which, by repeated folding, may become of relatively small dimensions.
The hats of different sizes and shapes hitherto in common use are meant to be principally used for protecting against the sunrays. Their main disadvantage consists of that they are not designed to be used as fans or for being fold and easy to be worn.
The problem the present invention resolves is of manufacturing a hat which by a simple folding forms a fan and by repeated folding may reach small dimensions, being therefore easy to be worn and carried in a purse or even the pocket.
The folding hat - fan according to the present invention, in the purpose of protection against sunrays or rain as well as in the purpose of ventilation when exceeding high temperatures and for being easy to be worn and carried in a purse or even the pocket may be realised in two variants; the first variant is of a pyramidal form made of cardboard, plastic, different knitting, so on, with edges more flexible than the triangular surfaces, allowing this way the hat to be half folded on any of the diametrically directions generated by the flexible edges forming a fan and which by repeated folding may reach small dimensions (one triangular surface dimension). In a second variant the hat is made of a very flexible material (textile, thin plastic foil, knitting, so on) being of a cone shape provided with minimum 4 rods (preferably an even number of rods) made of wood, plastic, metal, so on, fastened on that material on the cone generating line with the role of sustaining the flexible material of the hat surface (similar to an umbrella) which by a axial plane folding forms a fan and by joining all the rods together, may be folded and introduced in a slipcover.
The advantages of the folding hat - fan according to the present invention has the following advantages:
- may be used both as hat and fan;
- can be folded until getting relatively small dimensions therefore being easy to be worn and carried in a purse or a pocket;
- easy to be industrially manufactured without special manufacturing technologies;
- if inscribed it may be used as advertising support on stadiums, arenas, summer gardens, beaches, so on.
Two preferred embodiments of the invention will now be described by way of examples with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
Fig.1 shows lateral view of the folding hat - fan in a first variant
Fig. 2 shows up view of the folding hat - fan in a first variant
Fig.3 shows lateral view of the formed fan by hat diametrically folding in a first variant
Fig. 4 shows up view of the formed fan by hat diametrically folding in a first variant
Fig. 5 shows a perspective view of the hat - fan in the final folding form in a first variant
Fig. 6 shows lateral view of the folding hat - fan in a second variant
Fig. 7 shows up view of the folding hat - fan in a second variant
Fig. 8 shows lateral view of the formed fan by hat diametrically folding in a second variant
Fig. 9 shows up view of the formed fan by hat diametrically folding in a second variant
Fig. 10 shows lateral view of the folding hat - fan in the final folding form in a second variant
Fig. 11 shows a perspective view of the hat - fan after being folded and introduced in a slipcover in a second variant.
The folding hat - fan, according to the present invention, in a first variant (Fig. 1 - Fig. 5) is pyramidal shaped (with an even number of surfaces) made of cardboard, plastic, different knitting, so on, with edges (a) more flexible than the triangular surfaces 1, allowing this way the hat to be half folded on any of the diametrically directions generated by the flexible edges (a) forming a fan and which by repeated folding may reach the dimension of one triangular surface 1 of the pyramid, and in a second variant (Fig. 6 - Fig. 11) is made of very flexible relatively thin materials (textile, thin plastic foil, knitting, so on) with a shape of a cone 2 provided with minimum 4 (four) rods 3 (preferably an even number of rods) made of wood, plastic, metal, so on, fastened on that material on the cone generating line with the role of sustaining the flexible material of the hat surface similar to an umbrella which by a axial folding on any of the directions given by these rods 3 forms a fan and which, by joining the rods 3 together, may be folded and introduced in a slipcover 4 special create in this purpose. In both variants the hat will be provided on top of it with an orifice (b) in which a double cord 5 is introduced, each end of the said cord 5 being provided with an elements 6, 7 ball shaped, tassel shaped, so on, large enough to stop the releasing of the cord through orifice (b), the said cord 5 when being interiorly drown has the role of attaching the hat on the head by stretching and fastening it under the chin, and in the second variant straining the cord 5 creates at the superior end of the rods 2 (top of the pyramid) a force which makes the rods 3, in contact with the head, to act like some levers which pull the hat surface maintaining it open (like an umbrella) and the said cord 5 drawn toward exterior forms, in case of using the invention as a fan or after the hat has been folded, a hanger.
