Abstract

L'invention concerne des manchons de sécurité pour endoscopes. Il s'agit d'un manchon creux, allongé, à première et seconde extrémités, et à paroi en matériau flexible entre lesdites extrémités, avec compression de ce manchon avant placement sur l'endoscope. Une fois l'endoscope introduit dans le corps du patient, le manchon s'ouvre, couvrant ainsi l'endoscope. Il existe un opercule terminal pour l'insertion de l'endoscope et une bague fixée à l'une des deux extrémités mentionnées. Au retrait de l'endoscope, le manchon s'inverse, retenant ainsi les contaminants à l'intérieur. Selon une variante, le manchon de sécurité est double, avec des manchons interne et externe, ce qui améliore la sécurité et empêche toute contamination de la main de l'opérateur par les fluides corporels. Selon une autre variante, le manchon de sécurité comporte un drapé doté d'une entrée pour l'endoscope et d'un accès pour les doigts. L'invention concerne en outre un manchon amovible qui s'adapte sur un endscope, particulièrement utile pour l'insertion et l'extraction de l'endoscope.
