Definitions
- the invention relates to a semi-automatic spinning-in device of an operating unit of an open-end spinning machine comprising a spinning-in mechanism with a tensioning element and a tensioning lever coupled in motion with a support arm of a draw-off presser roller and also coupled with a bobbin lifter and with an initiation member of the spinning-in mechanism which is by means of a releasing member coupled with a start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device, the spinning-in mechanism further comprising a yarn end release device intended to let the yarn end arrive at the collecting groove of the spinning rotor and coupled with a start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device which latter is fitted with a yarn length compensator.
- the semi-automatic spinning-in device of an operating unit of an open-end spinning machine serves to resume in a semi-automatic manner the spinning on an operating unit of the open-end spinning machine after a yarn rupture or after a bobbin has been wound to the full of its capacity.
- This semi-automatic spinning-in device situated on each operating unit of an open-end spinning machine and seated there on the machine frame.
- This semi-automatic spinning-in device comprises a spinning-in mechanism fitted with a tensioning lever coupled in motion with a spring-biased support arm of a draw-off presser roller, with a bobbin lifter used to lift the bobbin out of contact with the drive roller, and also coupled in motion with a start lever of the spinning-in mechanism.
- a releasing member coupled to a start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device. Also related to this start mechanism is a yarn end release device intended to let the yarn end to be spun arrive at the collecting groove of the spinning rotor.
- the semi-automatic spinning-in device of the operating unit of the open-end spinning machine is also fitted with a spring-biased yarn length compensator made as a bent wire piece and equipped at its end adjoining the path of the yarn in process of winding with a yarn gripper/guide.
- This semi-automatic spinning-in device works as follows: To resume the spinning process on the operating unit of the open-end spinning machine, the machine operator sets the spinning-in mechanism in ready-to-work position thus setting the start lever in front of the operative element of the releasing member. At the same time, the support arm of the draw-off presser roller tilts so as to set the draw-off presser roller out of contact with the stationary draw-off presser roller, and the bobbin lifter lifts the bobbin above said bobbin drive roller. The arm of the yarn length compensator is then manually so tilted that the yarn gripper/guide is moved outside the yarn path of the normal spinning. Then there is either detected the yarn end on the bobbin or, when starting the winding on a new tube, the end of an auxiliary yarn is used and this yarn is manually introduced into the semi-automatic spinning-in device.
- the operator pushes a push-button provided on the start mechanism thus causing the releasing member to exert pressure on the start lever of the spinning-in mechanism and to set the spinning-in mechanism in action. Due to this and in a predetermined time sequence, the draw-off presser roller gets pressed on the stationary draw-off roller, the lifted bobbin sinks on the bobbin drive roller, and the yarn end, on the collecting groove of the spinning rotor. The yarn winding on the bobbin beginning to rotate begins. After the spinning-in has been carried out, the arm of the yarn length compensator, used to compensate the yarn loop created due to the difference between the speed of the yarn draw-off and the yarn winding on the bobbin beginning to rotate, is manually released. The yarn is almost instantly drawn off from the spinning unit at the operative speed.
- the invention aims to obtain the release of the arm of the yarn length compensator at an exactly predetermined and at all times constant moment
- the target of the invention has been reached by a semi-automatic spinning-in device of an operating unit of an open-end spinning machine whose principle consists in that the semi-automatic spinning-in device is fitted with a control member of the yarn length compensator which is coupled with the start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device
- Fig 1 is an axonometric view of a semi-automatic spinning-in device of an operating unit of an open-end spinning machine
- Fig 2 is a lateral view of the semi-automatic spinning- in device of Fig 1 in its ready-to-work position
- Fig 3 is a lateral view of the semi-automatic spinning-in device in its released position after the spinning-in
- the semi-automatic spinning-in device of the operating unit of the open-end spinning machine is a part of each operating unit of the open-end spinning machine which comprises on one or both of its sides a number of operating units situated next to each other.
- Each operating unit comprises a spinning unit with a free room thereunder for a sliver can with sliver.
- a couple of draw-off rollers out of which one is stationary and coupled with a drive while the other is a draw-off presser roller ⁇ rotatably mounted on a tilting support arm 10 consisting of a two-armed lever and made in the shown example of embodiment as a part of the semi-automatic spinning-in device of the operating unit.
- the semi-automatic spinning-in device of the operating unit of the open-end spinning machine comprises a support 4 carrying a spinning-in mechanism 2 consisting in the shown example of embodiment of a quick-operation mechanism fitted with a start lever 20 acting as the initiation element of the spinning-in mechanism 2 and seated on one of its ends rotatably around its transverse axis in the support 4 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device.
- the free end of the start lever 20 is in the ready-to-work position of the spinning-in mechanism 2, i.e., in the position occupied prior to the spinning-in operation, situated in front of an operative element 30 of a releasing member 3 which activates the spinning-in mechanism 2 by imparting to it an initiation pulse.
- the releasing member 3 is connected to a not represented start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device.
- the releasing member 3 can be made both as a simple electromagnetic device and as an electromagnetic device combined with a spring system, or it also can be made as another well-known device.
- the end of the start lever 20 rotatably mounted in the support 4 has fixed thereto one end of an auxiliary lever 21 whose the other end, rotatable around the transverse axis of the auxiliary lever 21, is coupled with a rear end of a tensioning lever 22 of the spinning-in mechanism 2.
- the tensioning lever 22 is between its ends/extremities equipped with a pin 220 carrying one end of a control lever 23 rotatably mounted thereon and whose the other end is in fixed connection with a bobbin lifter 5 adapted to lift the bobbin out of contact with the bobbin drive roller, mounted in the support 4 of the semi-automatic sp ⁇ nn ⁇ ng- ⁇ n device and adapted to tilt around an axis parallel with the pin 220 on the tensioning lever 22
- the pin 220 mounted on the tensioning lever 22 also holds one end of a tie rod 24 rotatably mounted around its transverse axis and whose the other end is rotatably in the same direction coupled with the end of a first arm 100 of the support arm 10 of the draw-off presser roller 1.
- the draw-off presser roller is rotatably mounted on the end of a second arm 101 of the support arm 10 of the presser roller I j namely rotatably around the transverse axis of this second arm 101 of the support arm 10 of the draw-off presser roller jL
- the support arm 10 of the draw-off presser roller ⁇ is mounted rotatably around its transverse axis on the support 4 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device, and the other arm 101 holds one end of an extension spring 103 whose the other end is seated on the support 4 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device
- the extension spring 103 acts as a tensioning element of the spinning-in mechanism 2 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device
- the support 4 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device also carries a yarn end release device 6 intended to release the yarn end on the collecting groove of the spinning rotor and connected to the start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device
- the support 4 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device carries an auxiliary plate 60 carrying a yarn quality and presence sensor 7 and the yarn end release device 6 mentioned above.
- the auxiliary plate 60 also carries a well-known yarn length compensator 8 having an arm 81 fitted with a yarn gripper/guide 80
- At least a part of the edge of the auxiliary plate 60 is bent on the side adjoining the yarn length compensator 8 ⁇ and this bent section 600 acts as a member holding an arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 in its ready-to-work position, i.e., in the position prior to the spinning- in operation
- a releasing member intended to release the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 from said ready-to-work position.
- the releasing member of the arm 8J. of the yarn length compensator 8 is made as a releasing lever consisting of a wire piece shaped by bending to a three-arm lever and having its central arm rotatably mounted on the auxiliary plate 60 or on the support 4 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device.
- the end of one of the lateral arms of the releasing lever 9 is seated in a transverse groove 240 provided in the tie rod 24, while the end of the second lateral arm of the releasing lever 9 is situated at a level above the arm 8_1 of the yarn length compensator 8 in its ready-to-work position.
- the end of this second lateral arm of the releasing lever 9 passes across the arm 8J. of the yarn length compensator 8.
- the end of said second lateral arm of the releasing lever 9 presses by its downward movement the arm 8J. of the yarn length compensator 8 and displaces it across the member holding the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 81, i.e., across the bent section 600 of the auxiliary plate 60.
- the arm 8J. of the yarn length compensator 8 is released and its yarn gripper/guide 80 by itself further moves towards the yarn which has been spun-in and is already in its operating position.
- said second lateral arm of the releasing lever 9 is situated behind the arm 8_! of the yarn length compensator 8, from above downwards, and thus cuts the path of said arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 from its ready-to-work to its operative position as shown in Fig. 3.
- the releasing lever 9 is coupled with another element of the spinning-in mechanism 2 moving depending on the course of the spinning-in operation.
- the operating feature of the member holding the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 in its ready-to-work position and of the releasing member of the arm 81. of the yarn length compensator 81 releasing said arm 81 from its ready-to-work position are made in another suitable way.
- the lateral side of the control lever 22 holds a bar inserted therein with one of its extremities and with the other of its extremities holds the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator in its ready-to-work position. Since the tensioning lever 22 moves upwards during the spinning-in operation, this end of the inserted bar releases the arm 8_ of the yarn length compensator ⁇ from its ready-to- work position.
- the operating features of the member holding the arm 81 is in its ready-to-work position and of the releasing member of the arm 81_ of the yarn length compensator 8 intended to release the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 from its ready-to-work position are made as a single element, and more exactly, as an electromagnet coupled to the start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device.
- the operating feature of the member holding the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 in its ready-to-work position and of the releasing member of the arm 8J. is made in another known manner.
- the operating feature of the member holding the arm 81. of the yarn length compensator 8 in its ready-to-work position and the operating feature of the releasing member of the arm 8J. of the yarn length compensator 8 jointly constitute a control member of the yarn length compensator 8 into which the arm 8 . of the yarn length compensator 8 is introduced prior to the spinning-in operation and by which it is held in its ready-to-work position and then, at a moment defined in time, released from said ready-to-work position to its operative position after the spinning-in in which the yarn gripper/guide 80 is in contact with the yarn and compensates the yarn loop.
- the semi-automatic spinning-in device of an operating unit of an open-end spinning machine operates as follows:
- the fibre supply to the spinning unit automatically stops and the yarn end is at the same time wound on the bobbin.
- the interruption of the spinning process is signalled by the operating unit.
- the machine operator then pushes the control lever 22 and thus actuates the spinning-in mechanism 2 which initiates the following actions: the draw-off presser roller 1 is removed out of contact with the stationary draw-off roller, the bobbin rotatably mounted in the arms of the winding device lifts above/out of contact with the bobbin drive roller, and the member holding the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 is ready to catch the arm 81 of the yarn length compensator 8 in its ready-to-work position.
- the machine operator detects then the broken yarn end on the bobbin or replaces the full bobbin by an empty tube, relates to it auxiliary yarn to be used for the spinning-in process, and manually inserts the yarn to be inserted into the semi-automatic spinning-in device.
- the machine operator pushes then the push button of the start mechanism 6 of the semi-automatic spinning-in device, thus releasing the yarn end held up to then and letting it reach the collecting groove of the spinning rotor. At the same time, the fibre supply to the spinning rotor is resumed. The spinning is thus carried out.
- the start mechanism of the semi-automatic spinning-in device also starts the releasing member 3 whose operative element 30 pushes and tilts the start lever 20 thus starting the spinning-in mechanism 2 tensioned by the extension spring 103 of the support arm 10 of the draw-off presser roller I.
- the extension spring 103 pulls the draw-off presser roller 1 to the stationary draw-off roller thus imparting to the tie rod 24 upward movement causing, on one side, the tensioning lever 22 to move upwards and, on the other side, the bobbin lifter 5 to turn thus bringing the bobbin or tube mounted on it into contact with its bobbin drive roller and starting its rotating movement at operation speed.
