  • the front ends of the members may comprise a metal plate including a semi-circular cut out for engaging the grooved bolt.
  • the calipers are operable by means of a lever locking mechanism in which the turning of the key drives a V-shaped block forward to engage the rear of the calipers and urge them towards each other. This has the effect of opening the calipers and releasing the bolt. The bolt then returns to the first position under the action of the coiled spring associated therewith.
  • the V-shaped block is mounted on a sliding plate which is driven by the turning of the key.
  • the locking mechanism is contained within a housing which includes a hollow cylindrical protrusion perpendicular to the door or window, in which the hold is slidable.

Abstract

Ce mécanisme de verrouillage, destiné à une porte ou à une fenêtre coulissante, comporte une tige (14) mobile horizontalement à travers le cadre de la fenêtre ou de la porte, dans une direction perpendiculaire au sens de déplacement de la fenêtre ou porte. La tige possède une dimension conçue pour pouvoir pénétrer dans un trou ménagé sur une surface située du côté éloigné du cadre. Des moyens de serrage servent à l'introduction de la tige dans le trou et à son maintien amovible dans celui-ci. Ce mécanisme est protégé par un boîtier (10) présentant une partie saillante cylindrique (12) destinée à empêcher toute tentative de violation du verrou lorsque celui-ci est en position de verrouillage. Une clé (16) sert à faire fonctionner le mécanisme.
