Abstract

Selon cette invention, un procédé pour communiquer en continu des données (p.ex., des données vidéo et audio) à travers un réseau (p.ex., l'Internet) consiste en premier lieu en la réception d'une entrée de données par un client messagerie (p.ex., une appliquette Java) qui tourne sur une machine cliente. En parallèle à la réception d'une entrée de données, le client messagerie fournit en continu à travers le réseau une sortie de données, ladite sortie de données étant dérivée à partir de l'entrée de données. Une fois que l'utilisateur a terminé l'entrée (p.ex., en arrivant à la fin d'un message vocal), il sélectionne une option 'envoi' qui envoie une indication de confirmation depuis le client messagerie vers un système de stockage, qui a déjà reçu la sortie des données envoyées en continu. En réponse à l'indication de confirmation, le système de stockage valide un fichier de données construit au moyen de la sortie des données envoyées en continu depuis le client messagerie.
