Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif (110) utilisé pour composer, compresser et transmettre des messages au moyen d'un réseau de données (100) qui comprend des moyens (116) pour employer une entrée de texte prédictive pendant la composition d'un message (MSG) et pour compresser le message composé en vue d'une transmission. Une redondance accrue et une efficacité de compression améliorée résultent du fait que le programme (201) d'entrée de texte prédictive suggère des chaînes de caractères (207) déduites du corps des messages (204) servant également de base pour un modèle statistique (206) utilisé pour une compression.
