Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système de diffusion de pages web grâce au protocole de radiocommunication de données (RDS). L'invention concerne également un récepteur web pouvant accéder aux données de la sous-porteuse dans un signal RDS et comprenant un dispositif d'affichage destiné à afficher et à choisir des pages web. Chaque station de radiodiffusion d'une zone déterminée peut avoir un choix de pages web (celles-ci pouvant être totalement ou en partie identiques ou différentes de celles d'autres stations radio) auxquelles on peut accéder en choisissant cette station. Les pages web peuvent inclure une page web locale avec les informations météorologiques locales, un plan de la ville, les restaurants, les loisirs, et les services. La station de radiodiffusion peut avoir une page web associée avec des informations sur l'agenda culturel, ou toute autre page web souhaitée. Dans un mode de réalisation, le récepteur web est principalement seulement un dispositif de lecture qui permet à l'utilisateur de choisir parmi un nombre fixe de services/pages disponibles dans les stations radio, c'est-à-dire que l'utilisateur ne peut pas explorer le web de manière classique. Ceci fait du récepteur web un objet particulièrement adapté pour des applications s'utilisant en voiture ou d'autres applications dans lesquelles l'utilisateur n'est pas en moyen d'interagir activement avec le dispositif. Les caractéristiques d'écran haute-résolution des récepteurs web permettent d'afficher des informations, par exemple des plans et autres images graphiques, qu'il serait impossible de montrer avec un récepteur RDS alphanumérique classique. La présente invention permet également, en plus des pages web, d'afficher des données de séquences compilées, telles que des mini-applications de langage de programmation Java.
