Abstract

The invention relates to a machine tool (1) especially for machining work pieces. Said machine tool comprises a machining unit (3). At least one electrically controlled piezoelectric control element (11) is provided as a position adjusting device, especially for a work spindle (4) of the machining unit (3). If a change of position is detected, the machining unit can quickly be mechanically moved to the respective desired position.
