- the capsule 13 cools and the gas contained therein applies less pressure to the bellows 15, which repels less the spring 17 which in turn tends to apply less force to the cup 4 and the membrane 5. There is thus a lower pressure in the compartment 3, so that the volume of gas counted by the counter 7 is under less pressure, the flow remaining constant.
