Abstract

Procédé servant à préparer un concentré coloré polymère conçu pour être mis en application afin de colorer des matériaux thermoplastiques utilisés pour fabriquer des articles plastiques moulés ou des fibres, ce qui consiste à: (a) effectuer l'apport d'un polymère thermoplastique, de préférence, un polyester ou un polyamide, dans une extrudeuse possédant des orifices de ventilation servant à évacuer les vapeurs, effectuer la fusion du polymère thermoplastique et ajouter une dispersion de pigment contenant au moins un pigment, une résine de dispersion polymère et un véhicule liquide non aqueux directement au polymère thermoplastique en fusion ; (b) mélanger la dispersion de pigment et le polymère thermoplastique dans l'extrudeuse afin d'obtenir le concentré coloré polymère possédant une couleur uniforme présentant une répartition régulière et extraire pratiquement la totalité du véhicule liquide non aqueux hors du concentré coloré obtenu par les orifices de ventilation de l'extrudeuse; (c) extruder, refroidir le concentré coloré et en former des granules; dans un mode de réalisation préféré, on dose en continu la couleur du concentré coloré et on règle la vitesse d'alimentation en dispersion pigmentée et en polymère thermoplastique, puis on ajoute de petites quantités d'autres dispersions pigmentées, de manière à rendre la couleur conforme à une norme prédéterminée.
