Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour détecter l'état de la circulation sur des routes et autoroutes par échange sans fil de données de circulation entre des véhicules en circulation et un central, lesdits véhicules étant équipés d'appareils de détection pour l'état de la circulation, la position de ces véhicules et un émetteur-récepteur. L'invention vise à réduire, dans ce type de procédé, la quantité d'informations à émettre par les véhicules, concernant l'état de la circulation sur des routes et autoroutes, et vise à créer des unités fixes et mobiles pour mettre en oeuvre ledit procédé. A cet effet, les véhicules (F) sont équipés d'un fichier de classification de voies de circulation et de classification de la circulation, fichier duquel est extrait, au moyen des données de position (St) des véhicules, un état de la circulation probable mémorisé (Vkw), qui est fonction de l'heure et du jour de la semaine. De plus, cet état de la circulation (Vkw) est comparé à un état de la circulation (Vkm) momentané, déterminé dans le véhicule (F). En cas de non coïncidence entre l'état de la circulation momentané et l'état de la circulation probable, un ensemble de données est envoyé avec la classification de position et la classification de la circulation momentanée (Vkm), ledit ensemble de données étant reçu et évalué par le central (2).
