Abstract

The head (11) is connected to means which displace the head axially, the latter emerging externally through an opening (26) provided in a regulator (27) which is mounted in the front part of the casing (8) of the irradiator, the head (27) being also displaceable in forward and backward directions. The equipment is completed with reflection sheets (38) which are susceptible of varying their angular position in order to reduce the irradiation surface; the equipment finds application specially in microwave irradiation for relieving rheumatic pain in patients.
