  • the nut holder and the truncated reverse cone-shaped nut keep the vice body and the slide together, acting, at the same time, as a pusher in the direction of tightening or disengagement, enabling the slide to rotate around the nut holder and nut axis, which in turn allows self-adjustability, whereas the conical shape of the nut prevents the slide from rising and instead with its final tightening force brings the slide to the vice body; at this stage the vice becomes a single whole.
