Abstract

Es wird eine Vorrichtung zum Fördern von Kraftstoff aus einem Vorratsbehälter zu einer Verbrennungskraftmaschine eines Kraftfahrzeuges beschrieben. Die Vorrichtung weist ein Kraftstoff-Förderaggregat, welches saugseitig mit einem Saugbehälter (3), welcher mit dem Vorratsbehälter verbunden ist, und druckseitig mit der Verbrennungskraftmaschine verbunden ist, und eine Rücklaufleitung zum Fördern von Kraftstoffüberschuss in den Saugbehälter (3) auf. Der Saugbehälter (3) weist in seinem Bodenbereich ein Schliesselement (5) auf, welches zwischen einer ersten, geöffneten Position und einer zweiten, geschlossenen Position bewegbar ist. Erfindungsgemäss weist das Schliesselement (5) eine Betätigungseinrichtung, vorzugsweise einen Schwimmkörper (7), auf, welche insbesondere bei niedrigem oder Null-Kraftstoffniveau im Vorratsbehälter das Schliesselement (5) in der ersten, geöffneten Position hält und welche das Schliesselement (5) in der zweiten, geschlossenen Position hält, wenn im Saugbehälter zumindest soviel Kraftstoff vorhanden ist, dass das Kraftstoff-Förderaggregat noch ausreichend Kraftstoff an die Verbrennungskraftmaschine liefert.
