- the atomiser is very suitable for humidifying air in spaces, atomising suspensions like disinfectants and such.
- Atomisers of this kind are known from the European publication EP-A-525164. It turned out that the cleaning is not optimal and the production of noise is considerable. By having a separate cleaning system for the fluid nozzle and the gas nozzle it has been possible to reduce the noise and make the cleaning more effective. Therefore a movable needle is placed in the fluid supply tube and around the fluid supply tube a cleaning element that cleans the gas nozzle.

- Needle (12) slides fitting through fluid nozzle (13) which is fixed in holder (14). At (15) a part of the wall of fluid nozzle (13) is taken away to have a triangular opening.
- holder (14) In holder (14) is a boring (16) which holds sealing ring (17). End (10) of needle holder (7) slides easily through boring (16).
- Inside gas nozzle (2) is a cleaning element (18) composed of a holder (19) and tube (20) which slides fittingly around fluid nozzle (13) and sliding fittingly inside blow opening (21) of gas nozzle (2).
- Holder (19) is urged against body (1) by spring (22).
- In boring (23) lies with play thrust bar (24). Thrust bar (24) reaches into boring (4) and has such a length that piston (5) with help of spring (6) displaces holder (19) against spring (22) so far that tube (20) reaches through blow opening (21).
- Compressed gas is supplied via connection (25) and channel (26) which goes from boring (4) until space (27) in gas nozzle (2).
- Fluid is supplied via connection (28), boring (29) to channel (30) in which needle holder (7) is.

- Fig. l shows the atomiser at rest. Fluid is supplied under pressure via connection (28). Needle holder (7) rests with end (10) against seal (17) with the force of spring (9) and seals the connection between channel (30) and triangular at (15). Needle (12) reaches whole through fluid nozzle (13). Piston (5) pushes with the support of spring (6) and thrust bar (24) cleaning element (19, 20) through blow opening
