Description

CUTTING-MIXING-FEEDING WAGON FOR FORAGE AND GRASS OR STRAW SILAGE PROVIDED WITH A CONTAINER WITH AN IMPROVED INSIDE PROFILE
The invention realizes a cutting-mixing-feeding wagon for forage and grass or straw silage, provided with a container with an improved inside profile.
It is known that cutting-mixing-feeding wagons for forage and grass or straw silage generally consist of a container in which the vegetable products to be processed are inserted and in which there are one or more rotating screw feeders, placed preferably in its lower part, carrying out by rotation the cutting and the mixing of the vegetable products with which they are in contact. In order to obtain an optimum cutting and mixing, each screw feeder is provided with a couple of spirals axially opposed to each other, wound the one clockwise and the other counterclockwise beginning from the screw feeder end to which each spiral belongs. Such particular structural shape of the screw feeders enables the communication of a rotatory motion to the processing material so that it will be conveyed, beginning from the container center and substantially from the spirals convergence point, through opposed directions toward each screw feeder end, obtaining a good homogenizing of the cut material. During the cutting and mixing operations, the product tends to clog more or less easily and that is the reason why particular devices suitable to avoid such possible cloggins are adopted.
Precisely it has been observed that when the container has been overfilled and most of all when rather damp products are being processed, the material tends to accumulate in correspondence with the container front wall which, in known realized wagons, is substantially vertical.
In fact the presence of such substantially vertical wall causes a sudden change in the direction of the material motion which, as it has been said, is a rotatory motion communicated by the screw feeders rotation. Therefore the material tends to pack against the surface itself making, as time passes, even a tunnel which does not allow the cutting and the right circulation of the material because of the screw feeders idling.
The present invention intends to overcome such a limitation improving the inside profile of the inside front wall of the container in order to eliminate such drawback. The said aim is achieved through the realization of a cutting-mixing-feeding wagon for forage and grass or straw silage which according to the main claim includes:
- a container provided with at least one upper opening for inserting the material to be treated and at least one door for unloading the treated material;
- one or more screw feeders housed inside said container each one whereof is provided with at least a couple of spirals axially opposed and wound the one clockwise and the other counterclockwise beginning from each end of the screw feeder to which each spiral belongs, and is characterized in that said container has at least a part of the front inside wall, slanting with respect to the vertical direction and convergent toward said upper opening. Advantageously said slanting front inside wall, since it is placed almost tangentially with respect to the direction of the material flow which is made to rotate by the screw feeders, eases the sliding of the material flow toward the wall bottom in correspondence with the screw feeder end so that it helps the reseizing of the material and prevents its accumulation. The invention is described below referring to the enclosed drawings where: - fig. 1 shows the longitudinal section of the wagon aimed by the invention. As it can be observed in fig. 1 the cutting-ijiixing-feeding wagon aimed by the invention marked with 1 as a whole, includes:
- a container 2 provided with at least one upper opening 3 for inserting the material to be treated and with one door 4 for unloading the treated material;
- a couple of screw feeders 5 housed inside said container 2, each one whereof is provided with at least a couple of spirals 7, 8 axially opposed and wound the one clockwise 7 and the other counterclockwise 8 beginning from each end 5 of the screw feeder 5 to which each spiral belongs. It can be observed that the front inside wall 21 of the container 2 is slanting along a part 91 of an angle 121 with respect to the vertical direction 20, so that it is convergent toward the upper opening 3 through which the loading of the material to be processed occurs.
The presence of said slanting part 91 of said wall 21 helps the conveyance downward of the material which, as it can be observed in the figure and as it has been said, during the treatement takes a rotatory motion with opposed senses 6 and 9 cummunicated by the screw feeders 5. In fact said screw feeders consisting of spirals 7 and 8 convergent to one another and axially opposed, cause an axial motion of the material respectively according to the directions 71 and 81 making it to converge in the central area 10 and communicating to it in correspondence with said central aream a push upward just causing the rotatory motion according to the above-mentioned senses 6 and 9 Said rotatory motion grows if in correspondence with the central area the screw feeders 5 are provided with inverted spirals and are therefore shaped according to the invention disclosed for example in the patents VI91A000108 and VI93A000028 registered in the name of the same applicant of the present invention When the material meets the slanting part 91 of the front inside wall 21 , it moves in the contact area substantially tangentially with respect to the part 91 itself this way avoiding its accumulation because the wall slant helps its descending motion toward the end 51 of the screw feeder 5 where it is reseized Obviously the same behaviour of the material can be found in correspondence with the back inside wall 22 which in the known realized wagons is preset it too as slanting with respect to the vertical direction and converges toward the charging door 3 It can be understood according to what has been said that the wagon aimed by the invention achieves the wanted aim
As it is shown in fig 1 and as it has been said, the front inside wall 21 of the container 2 is slanting just along the substantially central area 92 developing above the screw feeders 5 and ending before the charging door 3, linking to the lower vertical part 92 where the ends of said screw feeders 5 are fixed and to the upper vertical part 93 ending on the perimetπc πm of the charging door 3
It is nevertheless clear that in different embodiments it will be possible to lean the wall 21 along its whole length and therefore along the whole container height or, as an alternative, the wall 21 can consist of more parts having different slants
It is understood that the said and other not mentioned possible variants are nevertheless to be considered as protected by the present invention
