Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle immobilizer, especially a mechanical immobilizer, for non-moving traffic offences. The aim of the invention is to develop a simple and visible immobilizer and which can be mounted on the vehicle and dismantled in addition to being fitted with a reliable security and alarm system. The inventive immobilizer is a mechanical clamping device characterised in that it is configured as a automatic multi-point lock consisting of several functional groups with interacting components. It comprises several clamping arms (1, 2) each with an eccentric claw (15), push arms (3), a base body (4) with several arms and a base plate (6), a built-in locking, catching and separating mechanism (5) with a safety lock (8), a turning handle (10) with rods and pressure springs (14), gearing (5), connecting and separating elements (11, 12) and can be mounted with an adjustable wheel lock on the wheels of a motor vehicle.
