Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé selon lequel un voyageur localisé se trouvant dans une localisation actuelle qui ne lui est pas familière, peut facilement accéder à des informations sur sa position actuelle par l'Internet, ou à partir d'un autre système informatique. Selon l'invention, ce procédé consiste à utiliser un système téléphonique, pouvant être soit le RTPC, soit un système cellulaire mobile, tel que le système GSM, pour identifier la localisation actuelle d'une personne cherchant des informations sur sa position actuelle; à utiliser les données sur la position actuelle de la personne pour repérer automatiquement les informations pertinentes dans une banque de données informatisée ou dans des banques de données; et à rendre ces informations disponibles à la personne souhaitant ces informations. Le terminal d'un utilisateur peut utiliser un logiciel pour générer un processus de sélection piloté par des menus et dissimuler à l'utilisateur des détails du processus automatique de recherche de l'information la plus pertinente. On obtient ainsi un système convivial. La présente invention convient à n'importe quelle banque de données informatisée mais elle est surtout adaptée à l'Internet.
