Le vantail ld est donc bien bloqué dans cette position de fermeture, et ne pourra s'ouvrir que par l'action du vérin 12d : l'extraction de la tige 17 du vérin fait en effet pivoter la manivelle 19 autour du point 20 dans le sens antihoraire, le galet 22 coulisse dans la lumière 23 et fait pivoter la bielle 24 dans le sens horaire, provoquant l'ouverture du vantail ld (figure 7). Les figures 6 et 7 montrent le montage du caisson 21 sur le coffre 3 par l'intermédiaire de silent-blocs d'isolation phonique 25 et 26. On voit par ailleurs sur la figure 5 que les caissons 21 d'un même coffre 3 peuvent être identiques (forme en coin) et montés tête-bêche, l'un commandant le vantail ld d'un passage 2, l'autre le vantail lg du passage 2 voisin, ces caissons 21 étant l'un par rapport à l'autre dans une relation de symétrie axiale. Cela permet encore de simplifier la fabrication en standardisant les caissons. II est à noter qu'en cas de coupure de courant les vantaux se plaquent automatiquement dans les logements 16 des coffres 3 pour laisser libres les passages 2.
