Abstract

Kalte Elektrode für Gasentladungen mit einem elektrisch leitenden Trägermaterial (1), auf welchem eine Emissionsbeschichtung (3) angeordnet ist, wobei die photoelektrische Austrittsarbeit des Materials der Emissionsbeschichtung (3) geringer ist als die des Trägermaterials (1) oder kleiner ist als 5.6*10-19 Joule/Elektron. Die Emissionsbeschichtung (3) kann insbesondere Yttrium enthalten. Die Elektrode hat vorzugsweise die Form eines Hohlkörpers und kann in einen Glaskörper (8) eingebettet sein.
