The invention relates to a frame for components that can be assembled, in particular wall or furniture elements, comprising a plurality of frame elements connected to one another in corner regions.

The invention is primarily concerned with the design of pl-shaped wall and furniture elements in which a filling or fan-out is surrounded by an outer frame made of metal or plastic profiles. Above all, sliding doors of cupboards, room dividers, partitions etc. consist of an outer, load-bearing frame and a plate-shaped panel made of wood or wood-like materials. The frame consists of frame elements, namely upright support bars and adjoining (upper and lower) cross bars. The latter can carry fittings such as support rollers and casters.

The invention is concerned with the manufacture of such components, in particular with the design of the frame or the frame elements (support bars and cross bars).

The invention has for its object to form a frame or a component assembled with a frame so that a simple, effective assembly is possible.

To achieve this object, the frame according to the invention is characterized by a connecting means for connecting adjacent frame elements, namely support bar on the one hand and cross bar on the other hand, the connecting means being insertable into mutually facing ends of the frame elements to be connected and making a non-positive connection therewith.

The connecting means according to the invention is preferably used when connecting frame elements "over corners". For this purpose, the connecting means consists of two legs arranged at a (right) angle to one another. Hook-shaped anchoring members are arranged on each of these legs, which, like barbs, penetrate into adjacent walls of the frame elements made of metal or plastic. gene and cause a hooking or anchoring of the legs. The exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings are (load-bearing) frames for sliding doors or others Doors used in furniture construction. In the same way, a frame can be used for other structural applications, in particular for partitions or the like.

A frame 10 of a furniture door (FIG. 6) or the like consists of a plurality of interconnected frame elements, namely of two horizontal, lower and upper frame elements - cross bars 11, 12 - and upright frame elements, of which an upright support beam 13 is shown in FIG is. The frame elements, namely cross bars 11, 12 and support bars 13, are connected to each other at adjacent ends 14, 15 and 16, 17 by a connecting means 18. The connecting means 18 (FIGS. 1, 2) has two legs 19, 20, each of the legs 19, 20 being provided with two fingers 21, 22 which can be pivoted relative to one another. The fingers 21, 22 are separated by an indentation or material recess 23.

The fingers 21, 22 of the legs 19, 20 of the connecting means 18 have anchoring elements formed on the outside 24, 25 as barbs 26. The outer contours of the fingers 21, 22 formed by tips 27 of the barbs 26 diverge in the direction of end regions 28, 29 of the fingers 21, 22. The legs 19, 20 of the connecting means 18 are angled to one another in the region of a transition piece 30. Specifically, the legs 19, 20 enclose an angle of approximately 90 °. The legs 19, 20 each have recesses 31 in the region of the transition piece 30, into which projections of the frame elements 11, 12, 13 can enter when the furniture door 10 is assembled. Relevant details are presented below.

The fingers 21, 22 have projections 34, 35 on the inner sides 32, 33. Each of the projections 34, 35 has a recess tion 36, 37, in which a tool, not shown, in particular a screwdriver, can be used. By turning the tool inserted into the recesses 36, 37, the fingers 21, 22 of the legs 19, 20 can be pushed apart or pressed together. The outward spreading of the fingers 21, 22 can thereby be changed.

The legs 19, 20 of the connecting means 18 furthermore have bores 38 for fastening fitting parts of the furniture door 10. The details regarding this design feature are also shown below.

The connecting means 18 consists of an elastic material, namely spring steel. C55W spring steel is the preferred material. It follows that the fingers 21, 22 of the legs 19, 20 of the connecting means 18 are elastically compressible against the spring force of the spring steel acting as the resetting 1.

The fingers 21, 22 of the legs 19, 20 are elastically compressed against the spring force of the spring plate acting as a restoring force. The insertion or insertion of the fingers 21, 22 or the legs 19, 20 into the frame elements 12, 13 is facilitated by bevels 39, 40 on the end regions 28, 29 of the fingers 21, 22. In the inserted state, the fingers 21, 22 of the connecting means 18 are pressed outwards due to the restoring force or spring force of the spring plate. The anchoring elements designed as barbs 26 hook into the frame elements 12, 13 and form a non-positive connection with the same. Unintentional loosening of the connection is impossible. After the connecting means 18 has been pushed into the frame elements 12, 13, the connection between them is automatically effective. The non-positive connection of the frame elements 12, 13 with the education 18 is positively influenced by a targeted material selection. As already shown, C55W spring steel is used as the material for the connecting bracket. The frame elements 11, 12, 13 are preferably aluminum profile extrusions 1 e.

In the inserted state of the connecting means 18 into the frame elements 12, 13, the non-positive connection of the connecting means 18 with the frame elements can only be released by inserting a tool, in particular a screwdriver, into the recesses 36, 37 of the projections 34, 35 and through Rotation in a counterclockwise direction, the fingers 21, 22 of the legs 19, 20 are compressed. When assembling the frame elements 11, 12, 13 with the aid of the connecting clip 18, the recesses 31 also play an important role in the region of the transition piece 30. When the leg 19 of the connecting means 18 is inserted into the frame element 13, an inner nose 50 of the frame element 13 enters the recess 31 of the leg 20. The same applies to the recess 31 of the leg 19, into which an inner nose 51 of the frame element 12 enters when the leg 20 is inserted into the frame element 12. Between the lugs 50, 51 and the outer walls 52, 53 of the frame elements, a circumferential groove is created, into which a mirror or the like can be used to cover the furniture door. Another groove is created between the tabs 50, 51 and walls 54, 55 of the frame elements 12, 13. These serve to accommodate a furniture door filling 1 to be inserted between the frame parts and stabilizing the frame construction.

The connecting means 18 also serves as a carrier for fitting parts, in particular support rollers 41 and rollers 42. FIG. 4 shows the connecting means 18 connecting the frame elements 12, 13 in connection with the roller 42 to be fastened on the connecting element 18.
