Abstract

Verfahren zum Beschichten eines Metallbandes mit einem Beschichtungsmetall, insbesondere zum Beschichten eines Stahlbandes mit Zink oder einer Zink-Nickel-Verbindung, mittels zumindest einer stromdurchflossenen galvanischen Zelle, die einen Elektrolyten enthält, durch den das Metallband hindurchgeführt wird, wobei der Strom eine Ablagerung einer Schicht von Beschichtungsmetall auf dem Metallband bewirkt, und wobei der Strom mittels eines sogenannten ein Prozeßmodell und einen Reglerteil aufweisenden Monitorreglers derart geregelt wird, daß sich eine Schicht einer gewünschten Solldicke auf dem Metallband ablagert, wobei der Reglerteil bei Änderungen des Zustands der Beschichtungsanlage, insbesondere bei Einlauf eines neuen Metallbandes oder bei Unterschreiten einer minimalen Sollschichtdicke, an den geänderten Zustand der Beschichtungsanlage angepaßt wird.
