Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de poursuite permettant de retrouver la position de chacun des objets parmi plusieurs objets étiquetés se trouvant dans un milieu spécifié. Le système détermine, d'abord, le temps de transit de signaux ultrasons émis par un émetteur situé sur chaque objet étiqueté et destinés à plusieurs récepteurs d'ultrasons placés à des points fixes dans le milieu spécifié ou autour de celui-ci, puis, sur cette base, calcule la distance séparant l'émetteur des récepteurs. Les émissions d'ultrasons sont déclenchées par des signaux radio émis par une station pilote, chacun des objets comprenant un récepteur radio conçu pour réagir aux émissions radio de manière à déclencher une salve d'ultrasons. Pour que le système puisse s'adapter à différents types de transpondeurs-émetteurs et à des demandes de services variées (par exemple, la fréquence de détermination de position par transpondeur-émetteur), on a conçu un système de commande de coordination qui permette de déterminer l'ordre de déclenchement, par les émissions radio, des transpondeurs-émetteurs montés sur les objets, en réaction à des informations de mises à jour et concernant les objets et les demandes de services liées aux objets.
