Un ensemble (20) pousseur de noeud comportant un tube externe (22) et un tube interne (50) est mis en place et un ensemble piston (80) est placé à travers l'ensemble pousseur de noeuds. Le noeud est libéré de son support et l'extrémité libre est tirée vers l'arrière à travers le noeud partiel de manière à compléter et à serrer le noeud. Le noeud est serré et mis en place à l'aide de l'ensemble pousseur de noeud et l'extrémité libre est coupée par positionnement de ladite extrémité dans des fentes alignées (34, 70) situées sur le tube externe et sur le tube interne, et par rotation du tube interne par rapport au tube externe pour supprimer l'alignement des fentes.
