  • Another way of expressing this temperature offset is that there are thermal resistances at the interfaces between the hair curler's barrel 10 and the clamp 60, and between the clamp material and the thermochromic coating 65 or the overlay 105.
  • the optimum temperatures for the color change (loss of opacity) on the reversibly thermochromic coating or overlay part on the clamp are about 45 °C to about 70 °C.

Abstract
