L'invention concerne un système de freinage pour stabiliser un véhicule dans les virages, ledit système étant particulièrement peu onéreux et pouvant être fabriqué et monté facilement, de façon à pouvoir être adapté notamment à des voitures compactes. Le survirage posant un problème plus grand sur ce type de véhicule que le sous-virage, plus facile à contrôler par le conducteur, ce système de freinage se limite à une opération de régulation uniquement en cas de tendance au survirage. Ce système ne comprend pas les détecteurs et fonctions nécessaires essentiellement pour lutter contre le sous-virage, tels qu'un détecteur de vitesse angulaire de lacet. On installe à la place, le plus à l'arrière possible du véhicule, un détecteur d'accélération transversale, afin de détecter l'accélération transversale de l'arrière du véhicule. Si l'accélération transversale de l'arrière du véhicule dépasse un seuil prédéterminé, pouvant dépendre de la vitesse ou de l'angle de braquage, une régulation est effectuée sur la roue avant située à l'extérieur du virage.
