Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un moteur ultrasonique, piézo-électrique, compact, de faible masse et à faible consommation d'énergie, et à couple élevé. Le moteur ultrasonique, piézo-électrique de cette invention comprend un anneau ou galette d'entraînement piézo-électrique, polarisé, constitué d'une pluralité d'éléments piézo-électriques de forme circulaire. Ce moteur peut utiliser une ou plusieurs galettes empilées sous forme de couches afin d'augmenter le couple. Une série de moteurs piézo-électriques peuvent également être empilés et fonctionner de manière synchrone, comme un moteur, afin de maximiser le couple dans les limites des caractéristiques volume, masse et puissance d'une application donnée.
