Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture, by driving a supersonic torsional vibration chip and a laminated piezoelectric actuator respectively through A.C. power sources having phases shifted by predetermined angle. CONSTITUTION:Two sheets of annular piezoelectric elements 2a, 2b comprise PZT polarized in circumferential direction and producing distorted circumferential vibration having reverse phase and the like, and metal blocks 3, 4 are arranged at the opposite sides of a laminated member. A tubular coupling rod 5 is inserted through the centers of respective members so as to hold the elements 2a, 2b by means of the metal blocks 3, 4 thus constituting a supersonic torsional vibration chip 1. Furthermore, three laminated piezoelectric actuators 7 are arranged with same angular interval on the circumference of the upper face of the block 3, and a disc rotor 10 is mounted on the upper end. A supporting shaft 11 is inserted through the rotor 10 and the tubular coupling rod 5 so as to contact the rotor 10 resiliently with the piezoelectric actuator 7 through energizing pressure of a spring 15. Consequently, the rotor 15 can be rotated continuously.
