Abstract

Cette invention concerne des manchons de raccordement (1) par électrofusion et est destinée à permettre l'emploi de fils relativement fins comme fils de chauffage (5) par résistance électrique avec une bonne garantie d'un chauffage uniforme sur toute la longueur du manchon de raccordement et une aussi bonne garantie d'absence de mise en court circuit de spires adjacentes du fil. Pour atteindre cet objectif, un fil de chauffage par résistance électrique est enroulé le long d'une partie de la paroi intérieure d'un joint en forme de manchon, cet enroulement étant constitué de plusieurs fils reliés en parallèle. De préférence, plusieurs longueurs de fil sont noyées dans un ruban de matière plastique (4), les extrémités des fils étant dénudées, reliées entre elles et fixées à une borne. Le ruban peut être enroulé sur un mandrin et moulé directement dans la surface de la paroi intérieure du manchon de raccordement au moment du moulage de celui-ci.
