Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for holding, closing and opening parallelepiped cardboard containers, of the type known as tetra-brik.
  • tetra-brik Different devices are known that are applied to parallelepipedic cardboard containers, commonly known as tetra-brik, which have the function of facilitating their handling. These devices usually comprise a structure that attaches to the container in its upper part and a handle so that the container can be used as a jug.
  • the main drawback presented by these devices is that the container is permanently open, with the risk of introducing dust or other elements into it that may damage the hygiene or storage conditions of the packed liquid.
  • Another drawback of these devices consists in the difficulty of their coupling to the container, which is usually deficient, so that they detach from the container when it is inclined to pour the liquid contained therein.
  • the device of the invention is of the type comprising a structure that is coupled to the container in its upper part and a handle, whose package has in its upper part a nerve formed by the union of the parts that make up the container, and is characterized by the fact that the structure that attaches to the container in its upper part comprises an opening in its front part to allow the exit of the liquid from the inside of the container and a closing device of said opening operable manually against the action of a spring, whose closing device in the rest position closes said opening and upon expiration of the spring action opens said opening.
  • the container is usually closed, preventing the entry of dust or other elements that impair hygiene or the preservation conditions of the packed liquid.
