Le polymère thermoplastique est un mélange d'au moins un polymère isotactique ayant une isotacticité d'au moins 85 et de moins de 40 pour-cent en poids d'au moins un polymère atactique ayant une isotacticité inférieure à 20. Le mélange peut également contenir entre environ 0,1 et 3,0 en poids d'un fluorocarbone. L'étoffe peut être obtenue par des procédés de liage à la filature et de fusion-moulage; elle a de bonnes propriétés de résistance mécanique et de barrière et elle est douce au toucher.
