After the material filling or its removing will be the remaining free space of the pressure container refilled by a pressure medium, the best of which is the air, till up to the reaching of the same determinated pressure in the container. The difference between the known total volume of the pressure container and the measured quantity of the pressure medium used for the restoring the same pressure level in the pressure container determines the volume of the material remaining in the pressure container.   • This procedure enables self-evidently to determine in a simple way at the so determined known initial mass of the material after its filling into the pressure container or before its removing, which has to be executed, the mass of the remaining material quantity in the pressure container after its further removing and from the difference of both masses directly just on the place of destination the mass of the really removed material without the necessity to transport the whole container to weighing in each stage of operating.

  • the lower level of this pressure could be in general determined especially with regard to the required precision of the mass determination of the pressure container content and the higher level depends on the material strength of the pressure container.
  • For the compensation of temperature effects on the pressure size inside the container after reaching the required constant pressure by corresponding quantity of the applied gaseous medium it is necessary to measure the temperature of the gaseous medium too. Its size is then used for the correction of the measured quantity of the gaseous medium and of the final pressure in the container.

Abstract

Procédé selon lequel, après le remplissage d'un réservoir, ou après son évacuation, on détermine le volume du contenu du réservoir en remplissant d'un milieu sous pression la fraction vide à l'intérieur du réservoir, et ce jusqu'à obtention d'une pression prédéterminée, le milieu typique étant de l'air. On calcule la fraction vide à partir de la quantité du milieu sous pression ainsi introduit, et de la pression obtenue. Ensuite, on détermine le volume du contenu du réservoir par soustraction de cette fraction vide du volume total connu du réservoir.
